Mara Eating

Mara likes to eat her food. She seems to really like carrots and butternut squash. I tend to put her in the high chair while I'm making dinner. We try to feed her just before we are about to eat, so that she is eating with the family, together time!

You have to be ready for the next bite of food, or we will have an unhappy baby on our hands. She loves her food and don't take it away from her or divert your attention elsewhere.

Okay, here's a funny story.

My parents and I took Mara to the Pumpkin Patch at Pierce College in Woodland Hills. We went and walked around, had some lunch, picked out some pumpkins.

We check out and buy our pumpkins. As we're leaving we have a wooden wagon w/our "goodies" in there. We are walking to the car when I notice this man following us, he's smoking a cigarette and at first glance I thought----WOW, that looks like Tommy Lee. So, I hear him ask some lady if there were done w/the wagon (the lady says NO). Okay, now I've heard the voice and it even sounds like him....So, I turn and offer him our wagon, once we get the stuff in the car. He Thanks me, and follows us to the truck. We get to the truck, on load and he thanks us again. We begin to get Mara situated in the car seat and I ask my parents if they knew who that was, my Dad first responded, Yes--Tommy Lee....My Mom says, why didn't you tell me sooner. So, we load the car, hop in and leave.
On the way home, I call Jason and tell him. He responds, Did you get a picture of him w/Mara. I thought, uh oh....So, we turn around go back, park and he's in the lot. My Mom gets out and goes up to him and talks to him......It's not Tommy Lee...but looks a lot like him. I didn't have the heart to tell my husband, Jason that it wasn't him. So, the man offers to have his picture taken w/Mara. We thank him and he tells us that he gets that ALL THE TIME! He does look like him, but he doesn't have the full arm tattoos and he's not as skinny as Tommy Lee.

So, we get back in the car and head home! I show Jason the pictures and he's all excited and I ws happy to see him happy. My parents and I couldn't help but laugh sometimes, that he was so excited that his baby is a ROCK STAR! So, anyways...about 2 weeks ago, my husband informs me that he knew it was Tommy Lee, but he didn't want to spoil it for my parents, because they were so happy to have met a STAR!!!!

Pawpaw's Birthday

Mara w/Pawpaw and Mom (these are my parents)!!! It was my Dad's B-day dinner! We took him to the Smoke House, while we were there....Mara just chatted up a storm. The resturant started getting busy, so the noise level started to rise....with that, Mara started to get louder. It was so cute, but I felt bad, like maybe it was bothering other patrons, but turns out she's just as cute when she's chatting...Everyone loved her! She seems to make friends where ever we go....
